“Will Exercise Help Me Lose Excess Body Fat?”  Yes! Exercise is a vital component to any weight loss goal, and there are many specific methods that can help increase your metabolism and help you more effectively reach your goals. However, much of the research is now advocating for the important role healthy eating (but not dieting) plays in weight loss. Proper food choices and exercise together make for the best plan. A combination of strength training and interval training, including HIIT (high intensity interval training) can usually be safely incorporated into your program to boost your metabolism.  Specific types of training can carry a risk of injury, so it’s important to make sure you have an assessment if you have conditions that could be aggravated by intense exercise.  As exercise professionals we are well equipped to help our clients with the exercise part of this plan and the bring fun and enjoyment to a workout

However, if you want to address the other side, food, going to talk to a Registered Dietician is a very important step. These professionals are experts in looking at your food choices and working with you to find foods that support your health, your goals, and your taste buds, to make sure you are successful in reaching that goal!
